Journey through the history of law and order in Covent Garden as you experience Bow Street Museum of Crime & Justice. Within the iconic building that housed both the Magistrates’ Courts and Police Station in the heart of London’s Theatreland, discover the story of the Bow Street Runners, London's first law enforcement service, and the Metropolitan Police Officers who walked the streets in their footsteps. Explore the original 19th century cells and uncover the stories of the people working in and passing through the station and courts.

Self-Guided Learning Group Bookings on the History of crime and punishment
To arrange a visit during our regular opening times (Friday – Sunday, 11.00 – 16.30, last entry 16.00). Please select Learning Group tickets available for £6 per person (please follow the link below and scroll to the bottom). A card payment is needed complete the booking. Time slots are limited to 15 people every thirty minutes, to help manage the flow of visitors in the space. Groups of more than 15 people are welcome to book multiple time slots, depending on how busy the museum is we may stagger your group slightly but you can all visit at the same time. We recommend all Learning Groups email the Museum team in advance for our Risk Assessment pack or to arrange payment via invoice.
