National Portrait Gallery: Online workshop

The National Portrait Gallery tells the story of Britain through portraits. Schools hub is a free online learning resource designed to support the study of Art & Design and History through the world’s largest collection of portraits. We welcome Early Years, School and College groups to the Gallery for self-led visits, exhibition visits and learning sessions.

Online events from the National Portrait Gallery

Our brand-new programme of online events for students and teachers will live-stream artists and history experts from the Gallery into your school. In our interactive 'Meet the artist' series, students will meet a practising artist and take part in practical portrait-making activities. Through our Teacher CPD series, you'll be inspired to incorporate portraiture into your Art or History teaching.
